Twitch CEO has stated in a new interview that he expects GTA 6 Online to be released next year.
GTA 5 has maintained its status as one of the top games in the market for a long time, celebrating its 13th anniversary today. One of the main reasons for the game’s continued success is its online offering. However, the next installment is finally set to release this year, but there is currently no information available about its online features.
GTA 6 to Bring a Huge Influx of Players to Twitch
During a new interview with Bloomberg (via Kotaku), Twitch CEO Dan Clancy discussed GTA 6’s impact on the platform. Clancy first said the team has been in discussions with Rockstar Games about their plans, helping them figure out ways to engage the platform’s creators. Clancy added that “You are going to see this big bump with GTA 6, but then an even bigger one next year when they launch multiplayer.”
The report adds that GTA 6 Online releasing next year is something the Twitch CEO expects, not confirms. Rockstar Games hasn’t officially confirmed the release window for their multiplayer offering. For context, GTA 5’s Online mode launched two weeks after the game released.
