Nintendo has released its weekly network maintenance schedule, and what do you know, the 3DS is back getting some TLC.
Despite having all of its online servers shut down over two years ago now, 'All network services' for the beloved clamshell are being tinkered with later today for two hours from 10pm GMT / 11pm CET / 3pm PT.
This is hardly unusual — Nintendo has kept up the 3DS network maintenance over the years for all those who want to reinstall games on the system — but do bear in mind that you might not be able to do so for a while today.
As flagged by Nintendo Everything, the 3DS isn't the only system being worked on this week. Nintendo has also scheduled User and Save Data Transfer work on Switch tomorrow from 9pm PT, and Nintendo Switch Online save data cloud maintenance on 28th Oct from 10:30pm PT.
There's even some mobile work being carried out on the Nintendo Store app this week, too. Man, it's all kicking off!
Any maintenance is likely only there to iron out any wrinkles, but still, here's the complete list of when everything is underway this week:
- 3DS All Network Services: 26th Oct 3pm PT - 5pm PT
- iOS / Android Nintendo Store App: 26th Oct 6pm PT - 11pm PT
- Switch Transfer User Data: 27th Oct 9pm PT - 11pm PT
- Switch Transfer Save Data: 27th Oct 9pm PT - 11pm PT
- Switch 1 & 2 Nintendo Switch Online Save Data Cloud: 28th Oct 10:30pm PT - 29th Oct 1:30am PT
As we say, this isn't the first time that Nintendo has tinkered with the 3DS networks since it was all closed down in 2024, but it still brings a smile to our faces to remember that the lovely little handheld still exists.
