A lot of the details were kept quiet so as not to spoil the surprise, but the post from Star Vault does promise “a new soft material which can be used as an armor backing or for handle wraps” and the ability for almost all creatures in the zone to be mountable, one of which is hinted as capable of carrying more than one passenger. These are set to head to the MMO’s public test realm in the very near future, date TBD.
The rest of the announcement post talks up some behind-the-scenes tech improvements, specifically a new analytics backend that will help with data collection instead of relying on external questionnaires and a rebuilding of the support ticket system for smoother flow. Expect more details about these functions when the update goes live properly.
