Conan Exiles shares October 1 updates to terms of service and procedures

Most of the time the terms of service document is something folks gloss over in order to connect to their online game. Even so, the official servers for Conan Exiles are going to be seeing osme updates to those terms as well as its procedures and guidelines, so fans of the survivalbox may want to take note before they become official on Thursday, October 1st.

Specifically, the new rules affirm that administrator support is not provided for in-game losses arising from gameplay with the exception of “extreme, game-wide issues,” and that players who face sanctions will not receive a warning beforehand, though they will obviously be given an explanation and guided on how to appeal. The devs also explain how account-level bans can apply and that clans that violate official server guidelines can result in every clan member facing action.

Funcom explains that these updates aren’t doing more than aligning with the game’s overall community safety guidelines, so the changes are being made to ensure that they “do not contain duplicate or slightly different information” and “correctly reflect [the studio’s] current policies.” So while breezing by the TOS might be typical behavior, you might want to make yourself familiar with the updates.
